Project Description

The "Material Considerations Project" is a series of studies, that involve the pairing of various materials, received from various individuals to create new, serendipitous compositions. These "ends" are informed at once by the formal choices of the artist and the nature of the given materials, and perhaps thereby by the nature of the individual giving them.

One of the project's base concepts is to speak to the importance of heterogeneity -globally, socially, culturally, linguistically, subjectively- in order to perpetuate new points of departure.

The following materials were sent via email and the post, in response to a posting on Craigslist calling for material responses to the words, voice and/or home.
